Steven W. Seibert, D.M.D., M.S.
Dr. Steven Seibert obtained his bachelor’s degree in Biology/Medical Science and his master’s degree in Biochemistry from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. After earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, he completed his residency in periodontics at the University of Nebraska. In 1984 Dr. Seibert was awarded a certificate in the specialty of periodontics. After graduation, he moved to Champaign, Illinois, where he currently resides with his wife, Cheryl, and their two children, Matthew and Christina.
Dr. Seibert is licensed to practice periodontics by the State of Illinois and has offices in both Champaign and Charleston. Additionally, he is an Oral Pathology instructor at Parkland College, where he has served as an adjunct faculty member since 1985. To stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques in his field, Dr. Seibert regularly attends and presents at professional continuing education seminars.
Dr. Seibert is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, has demonstrated excellence and achieving the highest recognition awarded by the specialty. He is a member of numerous organizations, including the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Illini District Dental Society, Eastern Illinois Dental Society and Champaign Chamber of Commerce. From 2004 to 2007 he served on the Board of Trustees for the American Academy of Periodontology and he continues to remain an active member of the organization.
When not busy with the practice, Dr. Seibert enjoys spending time with his wife, Cheryl and their children, Matthew and Christina. A sports enthusiast, Dr. Seibert likes hunting and playing golf with friends, and he is a loyal fan of Fighting Illini football and basketball.
