Caring for Patients in Central Illinois for more than 25 Years

In 1984 Dr. Steven Seibert moved from Lincoln, Nebraska to join Dr. Ken Gerstein as an associate in his Champaign, Illinois practice.  A graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine and the University of Nebraska Periodontics, Dr. Seibert wanted to raise his family and practice periodontics somewhere relatively close to his hometown of Belleville, Illinois.

In 1986 Dr. Gerstein made Dr. Seibert a partner, and the two recognized a growing need for periodontal care in other regions of Illinois.  To better serve the community, the practice established two satellite offices; one in Danville and the other in Charleston.

Meanwhile, the Champaign practice continued to grow and it soon became obvious that more space was needed, so in that same year the main office was relocated from the Huntington Towers building to our current location of 303 W. Springfield Ave.  Since that time the building has undergone numerous renovations to provide the most comfortable, functional and efficient delivery of care to our patients.  In 1989 Dr. Gerstein left to practice periodontics elsewhere, and Dr. Seibert continued to treat patients in Charleston and Champaign. 

Over the years Dr. Seibert has interviewed numerous associate candidates, and he finally found the right “fit” for his practice in Dr. Yoolim Kim.  Dr. Seibert chose her not only because of her demonstrated excellence in periodontics, but also because he sensed her energetic and caring personality would compliment his own patient care philosophies.  Dr. Kim, a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine and Saint Louis University Periodontics, joined the practice as an associate doctor in July 2009.

Together, Dr. Seibert, Dr. Kim and their staff provide the most up-to-date and caring periodontal treatment available in both Champaign and Charleston, IL.  Our practice stays on the forefront of dentistry by incorporating computer technology, digital radiography, cone beam diagnostic imaging, laser dentistry and implant dentistry.
