Yoolim Kim, D.M.D., M.S.D.

Dr. Yoolim Kim was born in South Korea and moved to Illinois with her family when she was 10 years old.  In 2001 she graduated from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor's degree in general biology.  After graduating with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, she began her residency in periodontics at Saint Louis University.  In 2009 she was awarded a Master of Science in Dental Research involving extraction and bone grafting and a certificate in the specialty of periodontics. 

Dr. Kim joined Dr. Steven Seibert as an associate in his practice following graduation.  She is licensed to practice periodontics by the State of Illinois and currently sees patients in both Charleston and Champaign, Illinois.  She also recently accepted a part-time faculty position to teach periodontics for the dental hygiene program at Parkland Community College.

Dr. Kim is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, which is an honor that a periodontist may achieve.  She maintains membership in a number of professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Illinois State Dental Society, Illini District Dental Society and Eastern Illinois Dental Society. 

Dr. Kim resides in Champaign, Illinois.  In her free time she enjoys volunteering and has in the past worked with Give Kids A Smile and Jamaican Dental Mission Service.  She also enjoys going to the movies, doing research (aka shopping), attending performing arts productions and traveling to visit family and friends.
